Rowing With Heart...

Our focus on promoting rowing for all includes outreach that puts oars and opportunity in the hands of people who otherwise would not experience the sport we’re so passionate about.

White Rock Rowing is part of White Rock Boathouse, Inc., a 501(c)(3) organization comprised of one of the country’s largest boathouses, a historic 1930s-era boat slip and The Filter Building, a popular event venue. Together, the facilities comprise an active rowing hub on White Rock Lake, where doors are open to everyone, from first-timers to seasoned masters.

Spring Competitive Season

Spring is rowing’s traditional season and it’s all about going fast. Races are fast and short. If you’ve watched Olympic rowing, you’ve witnessed the kind of 1000 and 2000-meter sprints that make up the Spring Competitive Season

White Rock Rowing offers two program levels:

Varsity

Athletes meet five days a week and train for regional championships while traveling to out of town as well as local regattas. Racing teams and athletes with similar goals are key in athlete development.

Novice

This program is designed for the first year rower who wants to get a feel for the sport by learning proper technique in a slightly less intense atmosphere. Novices also train five days a week and compete in out of town and local events.
