Imagine a sport that…

  • Can be mastered by anyone, regardless of gender, age or size
  • Uses more of your muscle mass than running, cycling, swimming and as much of your muscle mass as cross-country skiing
  • Gives you a total body strength workout while performing a cardiovascular/endurance workout (no more weight room?)
  • Burns significantly more calories per hour than anaerobic threshold swimming, cycling, or running, and also develops balance and rhythm
  • Is totally non-impact
  • Doesn’t mess up your hair
  • Can be performed at an easy cruise, at an anaerobic pace that you simply can’t maintain, or at any intensity in between
  • Feels cooler than running or cycling at the same ambient temperature
  • You can enjoy year-round in virtually any weather
  • Has competitive opportunities if you are so inclined
  • Can be performed any time, day or night, with no fear of being hit by a car, a cyclist, or a rollerblader, and with no threat of being chased by a dog
  • If you crash, you cool off. No road rash or broken body parts
  • You can enjoy while wearing a big straw hat to keep the sun off
  • You perform in such a beautiful and tranquil venue that you are totally relaxed at the end of the toughest workout
  • Looks really cool
  • Is totally addictive
