Fall Rowing at White Rock
Fall is a great time to begin rowing at White Rock, the days are long, the weather warm and the energy is high. This is typically when coaches will ‘teach’ the sport to the newer members and the returners find out it they are in good shape from the summer.
Fall Season is divided into a teaching, training and racing phase for all rowers and this works really well at White Rock. The boathouse is a great venue for long training rows and is typically a safe place to teach rowing as well. Midway through the season and at the end, White Rock hosts home events for the sport. The first is our intersquad scrimmage and the second is open to all clubs in the Dallas area.
The traveling portion of this season will see athletes travel to Oklahoma City as well as Austin, Houston, and perhaps as far away as Chattanooga TN for our most competitive athletes.
Fall rowing cost and fees are kept low to give everyone a great chance to participate, learn the new sport and get a great start for the year.
As a new rower or parent who wishes to learn more feel free to contact the Head Coach.
