Mission

The White Rock Boathouse, Inc. is a non-profit corporation with a mission of creating opportunities for the citizens of Dallas to experience the sport of rowing and other paddle sports in a safe, professional and enjoyable way.  Competitive and recreational experiences can be pursued within the organization.  Programs for all area youth as well as adults are provided to learn, develop and excel.

2012 Junior Summer Camps!

Rowing is a great sport for students who want to learn a great new sport.  Middle school and High School students are welcome.  Rowing is a total body sport that is outside, non impact, and one of the best team sports in the world.  Open to boys and girls from 7th to 12th grade, we also offer adult learn to row classes so if Mom’s and Dad’s wish to try we are able to assist.  New for 2012 is our Middle School only program which will be geared to the younger student.  Camp 1-3 are open to everyone and Middle School camp is ONLY open to upcoming 7-8th graders.

Camps will be coached by trained staff and all participants will be given a safety presentation on the first day.  Camps are designed to be fun, instructional, and a great way for area youth to see what rowing is all about.  Each day will be structured and a mid morning break and snack is included in the fee. 

Registration:

Registration is completed through Sign-Up page on this website.  All camps are limited to 24 athletes and registration is on a first come first serve basis.

Sessions:

  • Camp 1 - June 11-15   Second Week Option June 18-22
  • Middle School ONLY Camp  June 25-29. (Rising 7th- 8th Grade)
  • Camp 2 - July 9-13       Second Week Option July 16-20
  • Camp 3 - July 23-27     Second Week Option July 30- Aug 3

Second Week option is designed to give those wishing more detailed instruction a great opportunity to continue to learn more about the sport.

Cost of Camp is $135 per week (financial aid is available) Camp Financial Aid Form.

Time: 8:30 AM - 11:30 AM  Camp Days are Monday - Friday (Rain or Shine, Hot or Cold)

Requirements:

  • Running Shoes, Shorts & T - Shirts
  • Re-usable water bottle
  • A physical from the last 12 months

 

2012 Experienced Rower Summer Camp!

White Rock Rowing is opening the house to ALL area rowers who are less than 26 years old who want a competitive, fun, Boat Moving Camp!!  In fact the camp is called the Boat Moving Camp!!

Come and Join White Rock and SMU coaching staff teach you the finer art of moving a 2- or 2x in a fun and technical way.  Daily workouts and video reviews to help your rowing reach the finer edge!!
